When I was a kid, I loved playing classical guitar. There was something about doing something that seemed impossible to achieve. So— I had to learn the classical guitar. I studied the fundamentals (Theory, Scales, Arppegios, studies, etc) and spent most of my time inside the practice room. As a kid, being impatient, it is really hard to do. But it taught me patience.
Now as a young adult, I have to relearn patience all over again as I pursue performing as a solo guitarist, finding ways how to share it to as many people as possible, and actually make a living out ot it. When you are aware of a timeline of an outcome, it is not hard to wait. But when you find yourself waiting for something that doesn't come to pass, it weighs on you heavily.
As someone who inspired people through my performances (and other stuffs that I put up online), I've seen live performances that inspired me as well. Just like those performances, this kind of story gives me a boost too. Will leave this story here so that it might help those that find themselves in a consistent pattern I've found myself in.
Once upon a time, an elephant and a dog fell pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued.
On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, _"Are you sure that you are pregnant? We fell pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. What’s going on?"…
The elephant replied, "There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I'm carrying is mighty and great.”.
Don't lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers.
Don't be envious of others testimony. If you haven't received your own blessings, don't despair. Say to yourself "My time is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration."
