Interesting!

Impressive orchestration. Well written parts I must say the color has been managed very good.

The low frequencies of the mix are not tweaked properly however. One way around this is to search for the sweat spot of the frequency.

Well the mix is forgiven for I am very impressed with your prowess in orchestrating this wonderful work. So I am giving it a 10 stars and a vote of 5.

Keep up the good work!

My head's Banging

This track makes my head bang! This is perfect for an outdoor concert like those in an open parking lot area.

From what I hear, I am pretty sure that the players has a high level of fondness with each other. For if they don't have it, this track will never sound as good as I hear it.

Keep up the good work!

FUNKbrs responds:

Lol, me and this bass player still work together 4 years later. The vocalist from this band left on good terms; the guitar player not so much (legal troubles). However, a version of this song IS going to be released on the second album of the Sin City Scoundrels (the current project the bassist and I are in) possibly with some local prog rap cameos. Crazy world, huh?

Very Hip!

This track is very "HIP". The Bass guitar and the Drum kit are so tight as if they are glued to each other which is very good. I like the layer of sound in the background, it gives the impression of as if the track is a recorded jamming session.

Very Good Track over all. 10/10

Wunderwar!

Very wonderful piece of work! The reiterations are handled with utmost care resulting to an interesting idea (from a germ to a whole musical thought).

I enjoyed it a lot however I find it odd for this piece to have a voice chorus at the last section. I think it would be better if the voice chorus are not included in the score. Is there a way to edit the applause? I think this piece deserves louder applause than the applause this track has. : )

Very Good Track over all. My 10 stars deserves it! 10/10, 5/5

Classic!

At my end All is perfectly fine. I listened to it while my eyes are closed; Very good transitions in all parts. No dull moments. It never fails to keep my head moving. I must say, you know your stuff very well!

There is only one thing that caught my attention. I can hear the combinations of an Orchestral and Classic rock. However, I can't find where the electronica is. Well I know it is there, but it doesn't surfaced enough for me to find it in one hearing. Try to make the electronica more obvious so one doesn't have hard time to find it or else it will just be a combination of Orchestral and Rock. That will be against your intention of making it a hybrid of orchestral, rock, and electronica.

Very good track Over all! I am giving it a perfect score! 10/10 5/5
Keep up the good work!

DavidOrr responds:

Perhaps electronica isn't the best description, as what I was referencing was mainly the use of synths. I'll go and edit the description to avoid confusion, Thanks for the review!

Didn't even pass for a Riff

Doing stuff like this is very tricky. One good way around this is make sure that even if the 2 bar phrase you came up with is played a hundred times, it will not tire the ears. It's just that simple. Take your time to polish it! Don't rush!

Too Mechanical.

It has no dimensions. All I hear is LOUD and LOUD. At least take good care of your phrasing.

Nice Intro

The track is nice. But there are some voice leadings that needs to be tend to. At some parts they intend to clash in a way that is not very pleasant the ear.

The idea is there. So I will give this track a 7 stars.

MrKennedy123 responds:

Thanks for the review. I agree that at a few points [the strings] there are some odd sounds for a second or two that sound really bad. I'll try to fix that.

Very Good Melody line

The melody is very moving. It doesn't have a dull moment for it is like it is singing and very free. The only thing to be consider is the range of the instrument you are writing with. For this composition you can review more on the Strings and Flutes. What are their ranges, what range does it perform the best?

Overall track is great. So I give you 9 stars for that. Keep up the good work!

Deathwalk responds:

Thanks, I did notice screeching of the instruments when they were in strange octaves.

I'm engaged in creating, writing and performing musical ideas.
